Lifelong Connections: LAI Alumni Relations

Graduation isn’t the end of a student’s LAI journey. It’s just the beginning of a lifelong connection.

Here’s how we keep the connection strong:

1. Senior Traditions

We walk with Grade 12 through meaningful annual traditions as they transition into alumni life.

• Senior Sunrise: A special gathering at the start of the school year where seniors watch the sunrise together, symbolizing the beginning of their final year in high school.
• Senior Sunset: A closing tradition where the graduating class comes together to watch the sunset, marking the end of their high school journey.
• Senior Trip: A memorable outing or excursion for the graduating class to celebrate their shared experiences and strengthen bonds before graduation.
• Senior Walk: A symbolic walk through the school halls or grounds where seniors are celebrated by younger students, teachers, and staff as they prepare to graduate.
• Legacy Banquet: A formal event honoring the seniors’ achievements, memories, and contributions, while also passing on encouragement to the next class.
• Legacy Projects: Meaningful initiatives created by the graduating class to leave a lasting impact on the school community, serving as their gift and reminder of their time in school.

2. Alumni Relations

We believe alumni are not just former students, but also lifelong mission partners. Our Alumni Engagement initiatives include:

• Play it Forward (sports)
  • where alumni and our current students and families play together for a purposeful fellowship and networking.
• Roots & Rhythms (music, arts, poetry)
  • Where alumni share music and creative talents while reconnecting with one another
• Mentorship programs
  • where alumni have an opportunity to give back to their community
• Alumni Spotlight
  • Where we feature alumni (in our newsletters and social media)and support them in alumni-led events
