Sally L. Coyukiat, Ed.D.

Academic Director

Dr. Sally Coyukiat, a distinguished expert in educational leadership, serves as the Academic Director at LAI-C. Holding a Doctorate in Educational Management from De La Salle University and a Master of Science in Education from Cornell University, Dr. Sally brings 38 years of experience in elevating academic standards at leading institutions. Her visionary approach ensures that students at LAIC receive an education rooted in strong values and global excellence, equipping them to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Lex Ledesma, Ph.D.

Director of Campus Life

Lex Ledesma, a Filipino entrepreneur and author, assumes the role of Director of Campus Life at LAIC. With a master’s degree in Engineering from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Psychology from U.P. Diliman, Dr. Lex brings invaluable expertise to mentor students on their entrepreneurial journey. His unique blend of technical knowledge and psychological insight equips our students with the tools they need to succeed both personally and professionally.

Edric E. Mendoza, M.Sc.

Managing Director

Edric E. Mendoza’s extensive experience in the corporate world, education entrepreneurship, and media uniquely positions him to guide the strategic direction of LAI-C. After a successful decade in the corporate sector, Edric transitioned into education entrepreneurship, where he combined his expertise with a passion for innovative learning. With a business degree from Ateneo, a certificate in advanced education leadership from Harvard University, and a Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris, Edric plays a pivotal role in shaping our programs. His leadership ensures that students benefit from a curriculum that is both cutting-edge and deeply practical, preparing them for impactful careers and meaningful contributions to society.

Pastor Darryl Owens

Director of Christian Formation

Pastor Darryl Owens, a graduate of Atlantic Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor of Arts in Missions Theology, brings over 15 years of rich experience in education and ministry, both in the U.S. and internationally. His extensive background as a lead pastor, youth pastor, and educator enables him to play a pivotal role in shaping the holistic development of Life Academy International College students. Pastor Darryl’s commitment to nurturing faith-driven leadership ensures that students are not only grounded in their spiritual journey but also equipped to lead with purpose and integrity—ready to influence their communities and the world for Christ.

Hon. Gregory Slayton

Executive Consultant

The Honorable Gregory W. Slayton, an Ivy League professor and former U.S. Ambassador, holds an M.B.A. with honors from Harvard Business School. As a U.S. Fulbright Scholar in Asia, he obtained a Master’s in Asian Studies from the University of the Philippines, where his thesis on ‘Causes and Solutions to Poverty in East Asia’ garnered widespread recognition. Mr. Slayton is also an entrepreneur and venture capitalist, teaching at top universities in the U.S., including Harvard and Dartmouth Universities. As an executive at LAIC, he infuses international expertise into programs and workshops, ensuring world-class standards across all programs.
